Also in England autumn has finally arrived. It’s been several weekends in a row, which we have been spending outdoors and enjoying the picturesque English country parks reflecting all shades of the fall. This is a paradise for fans of mountain hiking. Scenic, scarcely vegetated mountain mass reveals magnificent sceneries throughout the hiking trip.
We are devoted fans of mountain hiking, too. We are interested in Lake District, which lies only 100 km from our current location in Newcastle.
Patterdale is the centre of mountain hikes and a wonderful starting point for enjoying this district. If you plan to stay overnight, we would advise to book an accommodation in a timely manner, because local hotels are usually rather busy also during off-season.
The most convenient way to enjoy these places is to hire a car from local car rental companies, upload a map of picturesque routes in a smart phone and – off to go.
Here you can check out various routes in this district: http://www.mountainhiking.org.uk or http://www.lakesandcumbria.com.
We as well recommend a route we tried out ourselves.
